CHRISTOFIS ANTONIOU
President of the Community Council of Episkopi.

Born and raised in Episkopi. Attended the Lanition Lyceum of Limassol, successfully graduating in the branch of economics in 1987. From 1987 until 1989 he serviced in the National Guard in a commando unit, carrying the rank of Sergeant Major. After completing his military service he worked in the British bases for a small period of time as he left for studies in the USA on December 1989.

From 1989 until 1993 he attended the Essex County College Newark NJ of America, and got the first diploma in Business Administration (A sc. Business Administration Studies). From 1993 until 1995 he attended the Jersey City State University of America where he completed his studies in the financial field with a specialization in automated accounting. During his studies he worked in various businesses in the States, showing remarkable engagement in business activities.

His love for his country and his family brought him back to Cyprus. From 1995 until 1996 he works in the Savvides & Partners / Pannell Kerr Forster auditing firm and then in the Cooperative Credit Society of Episkopi where he still holds the position of internal auditor.

He becomes active with public life from a young age and at the age of 32, in the local elections of December 2001, he gets elected as President of the Community Council as an independent candidate.

He is the vice-president of the Association of Communities of Limassol and a member of the pan-cyprian committee of the Association of Communities.
